Nursery : Sunshines (F1)
We are The Nursery (Foundation Stage 1) within Riverside school and form part of The Early Years Unit which includes both Reception (F2) and Nursery (F1) classes in a free-flow environment. This means children are able to enjoy both the F1 and F2 areas as well as the outdoor spaces.
In F1 we are able to welcome children from the day they turn 3 years old. We are fortunate to have 6 specific learning areas with inspiring resources that allow the children to learn through their play. Our approach to learning and the design of our unit is inspired by aspects of The Curiosity Approach and The Reggio Emilio Approach.
We encourage creativity and independence through meaningful adult interactions using inspiring, natural looking resources and learning zones.
