We need a new Governor!

The school’s Board of Governors has a vacancy for a co-opted governor. We are particularly seeking someone with expertise in accountancy and finance.

Governors are volunteers who give their time freely for the benefit of the school community. If you are a pro-active individual and you are passionate about supporting the school to give the best possible opportunities to our young people, then we are keen to hear from you.

Being a governor is an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling community role. If you are interested and would like further details, or know someone who might be, please contact Mr Yapp, Headteacher, via This email address is being protected from spambots. Our New Team Riverside Hoodies!

Riverside School is setting off to the North Yorkshire School Games gymnastics finals with an extra spring in their step, following recent sponsorship from the Yorkshire office of Clancy Docwra Multi Utility.
Pictured are the two gym teams who have progressed to the final stage of the competition in Catterick in June, along with Ian Yapp, headteacher, Vicki Ashmore and Emma Parnaby from Clancy Docwra and Sarah Needham, sport and PE lead at Riverside.
In partnership with Clancy Docwra, the school has commissioned a set of badged and branded hoodies for the school sports teams to wear pre and post competition.
Sarah Needham, Riverside’s sport and PE lead said, ‘The children were most impressed to receive and model our new hoodies, I am sure it will add to our excitement and motivation when we get kitted up for sports events for many years to come. Our big thanks to Vicki, Emma and all at Clancy Docwra Multi Utility for making this possible.’

We have supported Martin House on many occasions over the years and of course, several of our families have directly benefited from their excellent support.
